This lovely French card came in to us with a considerable amount of damage to the top. The intricate marquetry veneer had peeled and bubbled over time in various places.

The loose sections were carefully re-attached or replaced before we carefully sanded back the top to remove the existing finish. The top was then re-lacquered and left to cure.

It’s always great to see a piece this far gone brought back to life.
